The video game developer Epic Games officially teases a new cowgirl skin coming to Season 6 of its multiplayer sandbox survival shooter, Fortnite Battle Royale.
It won’t be long now until Fortnite Battle Royale’s Season 6 officially begins, with Epic Games having previously teased that the next cycle of content’s theme could be centered around a celebration of sorts, as the studio said, “All great parties need a DJ.” Now, though, it looks as if the developer is looking to keep throwing players off the path of guessing what’s to come, as Epic has teased the inclusion of a cowgirl skin in Season 6.
As seen in the tweet below, Fortnite fans are asked to “Saddle up!” due to the fact that Season 6 is now just two days away, and Epic Games also included a teaser image depicting a cowgirl assassin outfit that could wind up becoming a new skin for players to acquire. Of course, it’s difficult to discern whether or not this particular character skin will be included with the Season 6 Battle Pass, but it seems likely to be the case.
For those who have been out of the loop with Fortnite lately, Epic has been steadily increasing the wide variety of different costumes that players could get for their avatars, and including the aforementioned cowgirl skin would offer yet another solid in-game item to keep some fans engaged. In fact, one could argue that the studio’s continued addition of cosmetics and items helped the free-to-play title attract and retain its highest player count yet, with August having been the game’s biggest month ever.
All things considered, while the cowgirl skin and the previously revealed futuristic Loot Llama outfit will likely catch the eye of many Fortnite fans, it’s worth noting that they will likely be joined by myriad other cosmetics once Season 6 goes live later this week. As it so happens, a recent datamine leak unveiled a veritable trove of fresh cosmetics on the way, which is potentially just the tip of the iceberg.
Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. An Android beta is currently underway.
