Millie Bobby Brown surprised Maroon 5 fans on Sunday when she took to the stage in the middle of their Nashville concert to perform Cardi B’s rap lyrics to their hit song “Girls Like You.”
Millie Bobby Brown earned some more hip-hop cred when she channeled Cardi B at a Maroon 5 concert on Sunday, performing the rapper’s verse from “Girls Like You.”
The “ Stranger Things ” starlet documented the experience on Instagram, captioning a series of videos, “Soooo 2nite was insane!!! I love @maroon5 and my dear friend @adamlevine.”
Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, praised Brown’s performance in the comments of Brown’s video, writing, “YAAASSSSS I’M DEAD!!!!!”
“It was such an amazing night,” Brown later said in an Instagram story, adding that she “was not nervous” about the performance.
“It was such incredible people and such good friends and, you know, truly family. It’s such an honor to just be on stage with such talented human beings… In fact, I was so comfortable. It was so insane. It was so fantastic, and I had such an amazing time.”
She captioned another video, “Imma do that again sometime.”
The concert was held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Maroon 5’s Red Pill Blues tour will pick up Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio, eventually coming to the Big Apple for two Madison Square Garden dates on Oct. 14 and 15.
Brown previously appeared in the music video for “Girls Like You” alongside the Bronx-born MC and other stars, including Ellen DeGeneres, Gal Gadot, Aly Raisman, Sarah Silverman and Jennifer Lopez .
The actress has demonstrated her love for Cardi B before: Last week, Brown posted a video with “Stranger Things” co-star Noah Schnipper rapping along and dancing to “Bartier Cardi” ahead of the Emmys.
Brown is also a fan of Bardi’s nemesis Nicki Minaj: She’s rapped Minaj’s famous “Monster” verse publicly several times, including at Salt Lake Comic-Con and during a segment on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” both in September 2016.
She also showcased her rapping skills for Fallon when she rapped a recap of the first season “Stranger Things” in October 2017.
