Teresa Giudice’s husband is currently serving time in prison after pleading guilty to fraud in 2014
Joe Giudice, husband of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, will be deported to Italy following his prison sentence for tax fraud, Page Six reported, along with multiple other news outlets.
An immigration judge ruled on Wednesday that Joe must return to his native Italy upon his release from prison, which is currently scheduled for 2019.
Both Joe and Teresa were sentenced to prison in 2014 after admitting to hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting false loan applications. Teresa served out her 11-month sentence in 2015, and Joe is currently serving a 41-month sentence in Pennsylvania.

“Immigration Judge John Ellington ordered Giuseppe Giudice removed from the United States,” a representative for Pennsylvania’s York Immigration Court told Page Six. He has 30 days to appeal the decision, according to reports.
At the reunion for the most recent season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Teresa commented on the possibility that Joe would be ordered to leave the U. S.
“I mean, Italy’s a beautiful place to live,” she said. “I wouldn’t mind, you know, I’m just saying. Listen, whatever God has planned for me, that’s what’s going to happen. I will embrace it the best I can.”
