Red Dead Redemption 2 cheat codes are a thing. Unlike most modern games, Red Dead 2 gives you the ability to use cheats to get infinite stamina, infinite ammo, unlock weapons, reveal the map, and more. These RDR2 cheats for PS4 and Xbox One are input the same on both console and use a system different to that in previous Rockstar games for entry. Below, we’ll tell you how to access the cheats menu in Red Dead Redemption 2, how to input cheats and the full Red Dead 2 cheats list.
Strangely enough, the Cheat Menu in Red Dead 2 isn’t even hidden. However, it’s extremely easy to overlook. In fact, during my first playthrough, I didn’t even notice it. To access the Cheat Menu in Red Dead Redemption 2, you need to pause the game, then head to Settings. In the Settings menu, you need to press Triangle/Y to enter the Cheat Menu.
In the RDR2 Cheat Menu, you can see a list of the cheats you’ve unlocked so far and turn them off or on. To enter a new cheat, you need to be in the Cheat Menu and again press Triangle/Y. This will bring up a standard text entry box, and then you can enter the code. The input doesn’t have to be case sensitive.
There are a few catches with cheats in Red Dead 2 that you’ll need to be aware of:
The following is a list of the cheats in Red Dead 2. These are split into two categories, cheats that are unlocked from the start of the game, and cheats that you have to unlock by obtaining newspapers or certain other items or documents. There are 30 spots in the cheats menu, but as of right now we’ve only discovered 15 of them.
These cheats have no requirements and can be used from the start of the game.
These cheats must be unlocked by purchasing a particular newspaper or finding the correct document, item, or location and examining it first. Note that it isn’t enough to just have the item in your inventory, you need to look at the cheat for it to become enterable. Some of these cheats are available in multiple locations, which we’ll note in the table below.
