TITTABAWASSEE TWP., MI — Autopsy results show that a man was suffering from a heart attack before a crash that killed him and a teen who was in another vehicle, according to the medical examiner.
Marc Bingham, 68, of Merrill, was westbound on Vasold Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle that was northbound on Gleanor Road in Tittabawassee Township on Nov. 3, according to police.
Bailee Mantei, 14, of Freeland, was a passenger in the vehicle that was northbound on Gleanor.
A funeral for Mantei is to take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 300 Johnson St. in Freeland. Friends may visit the church from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of Mass on Friday. There will be a vigil service at 6 p.m. Thursday in the church as well.
The funeral for Bingham is also set for 11 a.m. Friday at the Snow Funeral home, 3775 N. Center Road in Saginaw Township. Visitation is taking place from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Both died from their injuries.
