Tamera Mowry-Housley confirms niece died in Thousand Oaks shooting

Tamera Mowry-Housley confirmed that her 18-year-old niece, Alaina, was one of the victims in the Borderline Bar and Grill shooting in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday.
“Sister Sister” actress Tamera Mowry-Housley ‘s niece was among those killed in the California bar massacre, she and her husband said in a statement.
Alaina Housley was just 18 and a freshman at Pepperdine University.
“Our hearts are broken,” the statement said. “We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks.
“Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
Mowry-Housley and her husband had gone on social media to search for Housley after news broke of the massacre that left 11 revelers and a cop dead.
“Ashley this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?” the actress asked her niece’s roommate on Twitter when the woman wrote that Housley was still missing.
“Unfortunately there’s nothing new to report at the moment,” she wrote back.
