Destiny 2 Making Crucible Competitive Matchmaking Better

Destiny 2 is getting changes to its matchmaking in the Competitive playlist in hopes of answering player frustration about how that playlist is currently matching.
There are matchmaking changes on the way for Destiny 2‘s Competitive playlist in the Crucible. Destiny 2‘s developer, Bungie, says the change will go into effect upon the next weekly reset on January 15 at 10 a.m. PST. The changes come amidst a pretty long period of player complaints about how matchmaking in Competitive is currently working.
The new matchmaking criteria will be much more weighted to finding teams that are of similar Glory rank. A common complaint among players is getting matched against fully-stacked teams that are at a dramatically higher Glory rank, especially as players first enter into Competitive to chase some of the mode’s pinnacle weapons.
