Samsung has been teasing its Galaxy S10 smartphone for sometime now. It has been highly-reported that the upcoming generation of S-Series smartphones will have several industry-first features, like two punch-hole selfie cameras. Another feature, an in-display fingerprint sensor, is also expected to be introduced in the Galaxy S10 device – a first for any Samsung smartphone. Now, a code found during the teardown of the Samsung Galaxy app suggests that at least one model will have this feature.
XDADevelopers say that they have found a mention of the in-display fingerprint sensor in a phone which is code-named “Beyond”. For those who are unaware, all the models of the Samsung Galaxy S10 have “Beyond” codename but they are differentiated by a numerical value added as the suffix to name. “There are four devices codenamed ‘beyond 0’, ‘beyond 1’, ‘beyond 2’, and ‘beyond 2 5G’,” XDADevelopers claimed in a previous report .
The tech news platform says that in the teardown of the Samsung Pay app, it found two references to an in-display fingerprint scanner and “one reference directly mentions the Galaxy S10’s code-name.
