A car full of intoxicated occupants veered off the roadway on I-75 north of Gaines Highway in the Upper Peninsula on Friday — a crash that led to a string of chaotic events that ended in a single fatality, according to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office.
Four people — the driver and three passengers — were inside a small car that left the roadway, struck a reflector pole and got stuck in the snow, the agency said in a news release.
In a Facebook message, the sheriff’s office said the incident happened in Dafter Township, north of the Kinross area.
