General manager Rob Blake is making good on his pledge to make moves that will improve the team for the future.
Continuing his quest to improve his team for the future, Kings general manager Rob Blake on Monday announced fourth-line forward Nate Thompson has been traded to the Montreal Canadiens for a fourth-round pick in the 2019 NHL draft. The Kings also gave up a fifth-round pick for this year.
The Kings have struggled all season to stay in the hunt for a playoff berth, and entered their game Monday at Washington eight points out of the Western Conference’s final playoff spot.
