In India, the Redmi Go will compete with other Android Go phones available in the market like Nokia 1 and Samsung J2 Core and will also take on the likes of JioPhone 2 which currently sells for Rs 2,999 in the country.
Last week, Xiaomi announced to launch its first Android Go phone aka Redmi Go in India on March 19. To recall, the Redmi Go is already available in other markets like Philippines. Ahead of the launch, Flipkart has created a dedicated page for the Redmi Go, which means that the Android Go phone will be available for buying from the e-commerce platform (Flipkart). The sale date is yet to be revealed by Xiaomi, which the company possibly reveal after the official launch tomorrow.
Redmi Go is the first phone from the Chinese smartphone maker to run Google’s Android Go software which means the phone will come bundled with all the streamlined apps like Maps Go, YouTube Go, among others.
