Realme C2 quick review: Small price for a Pie-powered phone

The Realme C2 was launched in India alongside the Realme 3 Pro on Monday as an entry-level smartphone with a starting price of Rs 5,999. The Realme C2 comes with a dewdrop display, Android Pie and a 4,000mAh battery, among other things.
While the Realme 3 Pro launch event on Monday was understandably about the much-awaited flagship phone, the company kicked things off with the Realme C2 – an entry-level smartphone with a starting price of Rs 5,999. Honestly, Realme kind of knocked it out of the park with its pricing as both the Realme C2 and the Realme 3 Pro are some of the best-priced smartphones from the company yet, giving Xiaomi a few reasons to worry.

Now, we’re shifting our attention to the Realme C2, which is an incremental upgrade over last year’s Realme C1. The phone touts a dewdrop display, diamond-cut design, Helio P22 chipset and a large 4,000mAh battery, among other things. Here is our first impressions of the Realme C2.
Starting off with the design, the Realme C2 looks pretty good for its budget pricing. The first thing you notice is the 6.1-inch HD+ display. So, the iPhone X-like wide notch on the Realme C1 has been reduced on the Realme C2, offering more screen and fewer bezels all around. On first look, the display looks decent with deep colours on screen and adequate brightness indoors.
The rear panel has also been changed from glossy to a matt finish.
