Looking ahead: Continual storms, rainfall to create additional flood risks in Houston area

The ground is already saturated in the areas hardest hit by the overnight storms.
We’re not out of the woods yet.
After overnight storms dumped between 10 to 12 inches of rain in some isolated parts of Harris County, more heavy rainfall and sever storms are in the forecast until Saturday.
A line of thunderstorms are expected to hit areas north of Houston today between noon and 3 p.m. and stall out north of Interstate 10, according to the National Weather Service. Tornadoes, hail and damaging winds are possible.

A flood warning is in effect for the area until 1:15 p.m., but meteorologists say Wednesday will be a slight reprieve for what’s to come.
