Rare today announced that its massively popular pirate game Sea of Thieves has sold over a million copies on Steam. The game has also seen over 15 million players since its launch in 2018.
When 2020 was just beginning, the Rare-developed pirate adventure game, Sea of Thieves, celebrated having over 10 million players across Windows 10, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass. Today, Rare executive producer Joe Neate revealed that the number has now crossed the 15 million mark, and a chunk of the new arrivals had been from Steam.
The Sea of Thieves Steam release happened in early June, and over a million copies have already been sold on the platform according to Rare.
