The company is expected to offer two models manufactured by Hisense and using XClass TV branding.
Comcast is reportedly preparing to launch its own smart TVs after teaming up with Chinese company Hisense to manufacture two models under the XClass TV brand. As Protocol reports, the TVs will run a version of Comcast’s X1 operating system already used for the company’s set-top boxes. XClass TVs will be “available to anyone” regardless of whether they are a Comcast subscriber or not. Comcast has been eyeing the smart TV market for some time and registered the “X Class TV’ trademark back in February.
