President Joe Biden and the first lady will travel to one of Florida’s hardest-hit areas for an update on recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
The Biden’s will meet with local residents and business owners in Fort Myers on Tuesday afternoon and survey the ongoing recovery efforts.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell and other local leaders will also give Biden a briefing on the current response.
This comes as state and local leaders are under pressure for their storm response, including a delayed evacuation order.
