Meghan McCain shares support for former President Joe Biden amid his prostate cancer diagnosis, calling cancer ‘the absolute worst’
Meghan McCain is sharing her support for former President Joe Biden after news broke of his cancer diagnosis.
“Cancer is the absolute worst. It is hell,” McCain, 40, wrote via X on Sunday, May 18. “It is incredibly difficult for any family, anywhere that has to deal with it. Wishing nothing but healing, prayers, light and strength to President Biden and his family.”
She concluded, “I don’t believe times like these are appropriate for politics.”
Meghan and Biden, now 82, made headlines in 2017 when he comforted her on the set of The View while breaking down in tears over father John McCain’s cancer battle. (The McCain family shared earlier that year that he was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.)
At the time, Meghan explained that her father had been diagnosed with the same cancer Biden’s late son, Beau, battled years prior.
