Steam’s 2025 chart update showcases the top 50 best-selling games monthly, sorted by tier, and lets you browse the most popular titles going back to 2004.
Steam is shaking things up with a refreshed look for its monthly top-releases chart, now spotlighting the platform’s highest-earning games each month. Users can also browse the top 50 titles going all the way back to November 2004, when Half-Life 2 launched.
The new layout features a trailer section that highlights top games one at a time, and a side menu, offering a more dynamic browsing experience. Each chart showcases at least 50 releases, divided into gold (the top 12 highest earning), silver (the following 12), and bronze tiers (the other games), though the total number may vary depending on regional availability.
