Beat Saber is abandoning PlayStation VR

As of this month, no new content is coming to Beat Saber on PSVR or PSVR 2
Starting this month, Oculus Studios will no longer be releasing Beat Saber content for PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and plans to end multiplayer support for PS4 and PS5 in early 2026. The announcement was made via a post from the official Beat Saber X account.
“As we look to the future and plan the next big leap for Beat Saber, we have made the decision to no longer release updates for PS4 and PS5 starting in June 2025,” the post reads. “Our passion for VR remains unwavering. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and what we can bring to Beat Saber fans who have been on this journey with us over the past 7 years.”
A FAQ page on the popular VR rhythm game’s official website added additional context, revealing that while Beat Saber will still be available to purchase and play via the PlayStation Store, players will only be able to buy songs and music packs that were released prior to June 18.
