Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is getting more interesting with each passing chapter, and just by looking at the way that Gege Akutami has handled the first few chapters, it’s already clear to see that this series is going to be incredibly good moving forward. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo introduced aliens right at the very beginning, and it goes without saying that when he did that, fans were a bit skeptical about the direction that the story was taking. Introducing aliens in a story that doesn’t consist of them from the beginning is always a gamble, so fans were rightly unsure about what to make of it.
Now, however, having given the story a chance, it is safe to say that Gege Akutami has absolutely nailed the delivery in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. The alien race of Modulo, called Simurians, are a core part of the story, and they’re not just a race that’s out to conquer the earth or to kill for the sake of it. The fact is that the Simurians are more complex than that, and they come with their own culture, their own problems, as well as motivations. Gege Akutami has finally explained the Simurian race to the fans properly, and the world-building is already turning out to be phenomenal in Modulo.
