The Xbox One X is proving to be popular, as one major retailer in the US has stopped offering pre-orders, indicating that it has run out stock for the time being. The Xbox One X arrives on November 7.
It was only last month that Microsoft finally started the pre-order process for its upcoming console, the Xbox One X. Unfortunately, at the time, it was only for the limited edition model, the Project Scorpio Edition. While that model would prove to be popular and eventually sell out, the firm did start pre-orders for the standard model on September 20, and it appears that the console is still proving to be a popular item.
By way of Major Nelson, it looks like online retailer Amazon has now sold out of the standard model. Although the product page is still present, navigating to the site shows that the Xbox One X 1TB variant is currently unavailable. Luckily, this isn’t too big of a deal at this point since many other retailers in the United States still have stock of the console – including Best Buy, GameStop, and the Microsoft Store. The Xbox One X will be available starting on November 7 and will cost $499.
At the time of writing, the Xbox One X tops the video game consoles and accessories category in Amazon’s Best Sellers index, ahead of the Nintendo Switch in 13th and 17th positions and the PlayStation 4 Pro ranked 23rd.
