A Sanilac County man finally hit the jackpot after playing the same lottery numbers for a year.
The man, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn Nov. 9 — 01-12-21-37-39 — winning the $325,101 jackpot.
“I’ve been playing the same numbers for about a year,” he told the Michigan Lotttery. “When I saw the numbers that night on TV, I thought they looked familiar. I double-checked them on my phone just to be sure before I began celebrating.”
He purchased his ticket at the Pilot Travel Center, 3475 East Washington in Saginaw.
“Winning makes me feel like a puppy in its first snow!“ he told the Michigan Lottery. „It’s shocking, but it’s great to know my wife and I will have a more comfortable retirement.“
He plans to pay bills with his winnings and save the remainder.
