Oppo has launched two bezel-less smartphones in Taiwan dubbed the Oppo A75 and Oppo A75s.
To end 2017 on a high, Oppo has launched two smartphones in Taiwan dubbed the Oppo A75 and Oppo A75s. Both smartphones come with a 6-inch edge-to-edge display, 4GB of RAM and in trademark Oppo fashion – a 20MP selfie camera.
Both the Oppo A75 and A75s embrace 2017’s hottest trend and come with minimal bezels up front and a 6-inch display that flows from one edge to the other. The display has a resolution of 2160 x 1080 (FullHD+) and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
The Oppo A75 and A75s are powered by the MediaTek Helio P23 (MT6763T) processor paired with 4GB of RAM and a sizeable 3,200mAh battery. The only area where the two smartphones differ is the amount of storage available. While the A75s comes with 64GB of storage onboard, the A75 makes do with 32GB. Both variants allow storage expansion via a microSD card (of up to 256GB).

Design wise, the smartphones look nearly identical to the Oppo F5 which we reviewed a while back and come with a fingerprint sensor at the back. They run on Android 7.1 Nougat with Oppo’s Color OS 3.0 custom skin on top.
On the imaging front, the Oppo A75 and A75s come with a 20MP front camera and a 16MP rear sensor. The front sensor has the same artificial intelligence based facial recognition feature found in Oppo’s flagships as of late. Oppo does warn though that the facial recognition is less secure compared to using a PIN or fingerprint sensor.
The phones supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2,4G VoLTE and USB on the go. The Oppo A75 and A75s have been launched in Taiwan at NTD 10,990 (approximately Rs 23,500) and NTD 11,990 (approximately Rs 25,600) respectively. Both smartphones are available in two colour options – Black and Gold. There is no word as of now when the smartphones will be available globally.
