The president recently proclaimed that he is a „very stable genius.“
Despite President Donald Trump’s proclamation that he is a “very stable genius,” fewer voters see him as stable than unstable, according to a poll by Quinnipiac University released Wednesday.
A survey conducted from Jan. 12-16 found that 45 percent of U. S. voters polled believe Trump is mentally stable, while 47 percent believe he is not.
The results vary by gender, race and political ideology. Men, by a 13-point margin, say the president is stable, but women disagree by a 14-point margin. Nearly nine out of 10 Republicans say he is stable, while only 10 percent of Democrats do.
The survey also found that voters, by a roughly two-to-one margin, think Trump is doing more to divide the nation than to unite the nation.

The poll covered a range of topics including a potential presidential campaign by Oprah Winfrey, who voters would choose over Trump 52 to 39 percent if she were to run as a Democrat, as well as whether electing a celebrity to be president is a good or bad idea. On this question, two-thirds of voters said it was a bad idea.
