Man commits suicide on north side of the White House
President Trump was in Florida at the time of the shooting, and he spent the night at Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach estate.
Video recorded at the scene showed crowds of people running away.
„White House currently locked down,“ NBC News photographer Paul Rigney tweeted. „Reports of two loud booms/shots on the North Side. Currently sheltering in place in basement area of Briefing Room.“
The suicide took place a week after an armed Tennessee woman slammed her car into a security barrier near the White House.
