“The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro come with dual and triple rear camera modules, respectively”
Huawei launched one of the most talked-about camera smartphones of the recent times – P20 Pro alongside the smaller P20 variant at an event in Paris last month. Coming in as powerful imaging smartphones, both Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are currently perched on the top two positions in DxOMark rating with a score of 109 and 102, respectively for the P20 Pro and P20. Now, the brand has been teasing both smartphones from its official Indian Twitter handle, hinting that the launch is imminent.
Huawei India has tweeted a series of teaser videos from its handle with each and every one of them highlighting the imaging prowess of these handsets. Earlier, there had been some ambiguity whether both smartphones will be launched in India or just either of the two models. However, in the recent tweets, the brand has been teasing both the dual camera and triple camera module. So it is safe to assume that both Huawei P20 and P20 Pro will land in the country soon. Although, the brand has not revealed any timeline for the launch and availability of the smartphones.
For the uninitiated, Huawei P20 comes with a 5.8-inch LCD display having a cutout on top, 2,240 x 1,080 pixels resolution, and 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a 2.36GHz octa-core Huawei Kirin 970 processor. The processor comes mated to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. For imaging, there is a 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel camera at the back and 24-megapixel selfie camera. The handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery. As for the P20 Pro, it comes with a bigger 6.1-inch display, 6GB RAM, IP67 certification, and 40-megapixel + 20-megapixel + 8-megapixel setup on the rear. Rest of the smartphone’s specs are similar to the P20.
While the brand has not revealed the Indian pricing and availability of these handsets, the Huawei P20 has been priced globally at €649 (~Rs 52,000), while the P20 Pro will be available for €899 (~Rs 72,000). Further, the handsets come in hues like Twilight, Pink Gold, Midnight Blue, Black, and Champagne Gold. We will update you with accurate Indian pricing and availability, once the brand makes them official.
