The Houston Astros took the field Tuesday night during batting practice wearing shirts to honor the 10 people who were killed last Friday when a gunman opened fire at Santa Fe High School.
“Today’s BP shirts. # WePlayForSantaFe,” the Houston Astros official Twitter account tweeted, along with a series of photos showing the ball players wearing green t-shirts with “We Play for Santa Fe” screen printed on the front in yellow and white ink.

At the start of Friday’s matchup at Minute Made Park in Houston, the Astros, Cleveland Indians and baseball fans stood for a moment of silence to remember those people who were killed.
We send our thoughts and prayers to the families of those affected by the senseless tragedy at Santa Fe High School today. We will hold a moment of silence prior to tonight’s game and fly the Texas flags at MMP at half-staff in support and memory of the victims and their families
