Is it not surprising, as millions watched from near and far, that President Trump ignored the whole event? Not even motivated to send congratulations via a simple tweet. Great Britain is supposedly our closest ally, but still no presidential recognition.
Who fails to recognize the significance of love being triumphant over issues of race and heritage? And what better example to us than the Royal family welcoming a lovely and courageous young American into their midst. Its unfortunate that here in America, issues of race have become even more heated, fueled by Trump calling out black athletes of conscience as „sons of bitches“ and defending white nationalists as „good people.“ History will record Trump’s presidency as more than a step backward, but rather a presidency engaged in the either misdirection or simply the wrong direction. He just does not get it.
