ASUS launched the Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone in India, a few months backs. The phone was dubbed to be the closest rival to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 5 Pro. At the time of its launch in India, ASUS announced that the smartphone would be available in three variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. However, only the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variants were up for sale in India, not the 6GB RAM model.
Now, in the latest turn of events, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 6GB RAM variant has been spotted on Flipkart. The listing page of the high-end model of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 surfaced on e-commerce portal. The page seems to be under construction, but it still revealed critical details about the device. This high-end variant of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 not only boasts 6GB RAM but also has better cameras than the other two variants.
Unlike the other two variants that come with an 8MP front camera, the 6GB RAM has an upgraded front camera with a 16MP sensor and superior 16MP+5MP dual camera setup at the rear. ASUS has already announced the pricing of the 6GB variant, it will retail at Rs. 14,999 in India exclusively via Flipkart.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 comes with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen bearing Full HD+ 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio, which is identical to arch-rival, the Redmi Note 5 Pro. All the variants of the ZenFone Max Pro M1 come powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset clocked at 1.8 GHz paired with an Adreno 509 GPU. As we mentioned above, the phone is available in three configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. For further expansion of the internal storage, the phone packs a dedicated microSD card slot.
Concerning optics, the 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of the Zenfone Max Pro M1 sports 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and an 8MP front camera with LED flash while the 6GB RAM variant packs a superior 16MP+5MP dual camera setup, 16MP selfie camera with LED flash. The phone also includes Face Unlock feature, which maps the user’s face to unlock the phone with the help of the front camera. Besides, users can also opt for other security option such as fingerprint sensor at the rear.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 supports connectivity options such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou. A mammoth 5000mAh battery backs the phone.
A few months back, ASUS launched the stock Android-powered Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone in India with two variants – 3GB RAM+32GB storage and 4GB RAM+64GB storage, priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 12,999, respectively. The 6GB RAM+64GB storage variant is still under the “coming soon” timeline and is expected to sport enhanced rear and front cameras, but its pricing has already been revealed by the company. The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 price in India is Rs. 14,999.
