Amazon has a solid foothold in the smart home segment which just got even better with the company’s acquisition of Eero. If Google wants to stay competitive, Google WiFi will be needing a shot of adrenaline.
It’s no secret that Amazon and Google have been battling things out for dominance over the smart home market. Both companies have their own AI-powered personal assistants in homes across the globe and are working closely with manufacturers to ensure their new smart home products can integrate seamlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant. While Google’s Nest has created a nice portfolio of products, Amazon has been busy buying up other companies left and right to ensure that it can better compete and its newest acquisition might finally breathe new life into Google WiFi.
