Samsung seems to be in fifth gear when it comes to releasing new flagships, as we saw with the preponed unveiling of the Galaxy Note 9. Now, sources tell us that the new flagship line-up called Samsung Galaxy S10, with different models, will arrive in early 2019. Furthermore, we learn that at least one of these models will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner, and the futuristic 5G network support for blazing fast internet speeds.
According to our sources, the Samsung Galaxy S10 will release in three variants, the top-end of which will feature 5G network support and a new ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader. The high-end model can be considered the ‘Plus’ variant in this line-up as we saw with other Galaxy flagships. There is a leak suggesting that the difference between the 5G model and the other models of the line-up will be similar to the LTE-A model of the Galaxy S4 and the regular Galaxy S4.

If that is the case, then there is the possibility that the 5G model of the Galaxy S10 will not see a global launch after all, since the Samsung Galaxy S4 with LTE Advanced mobile network support was released for the Korean market only. For now, however, we know that there are three codenames being used to describe each of these handsets.
The three variants in the works for the Samsung Galaxy S10 line-up are codenamed Beyond 0, Beyond 1, and Beyond 2. Among these, the top-of-the-range model is being called Beyond 2, while the least expensive, or standard model, is being referred to as the Beyond 0. The primary difference, or the most visible differences between these models are the camera setup and the display size.
The Beyond 0 version, or the base version, is expected to sport a single-sensor rear camera and a 5.8-inch flat display, while the middle sibling Beyond 1, which will cost more, will ship with a dual rear camera and a 5.8-inch curved Infinity type display.
The two models, base and mid-range, will also come with an under-display fingerprint scanner, but may not feature the fast ultrasound unit learnt to have found its way into the high-end variant.
The ‘Plus’ model, or the high-end variant in this line-up being called Beyond 2, is probably will have a 6.2-inch curved display that will retain a bezel on top. The design language on this model features an ultra-thin bezel on the top, an even narrower chin, and no bezels on the sides.
This model is also speculated to sport a triple rear camera, and we now that it will come with 5G support at least in the home market of Samsung. The 5G model, it is being said, will be available in limited numbers.
In terms of specifications which are making rounds as rumours but have not been confirmed by any reliable leaks is one that suggests a 6.44-inch bezel-free display for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. We have also come across five possible colour options: Black, White, Silver, Green, and Pink.
Other rumoured specs include a 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, a pixel density of more than 600 pixels per inch, a new flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, a dual front camera for the Galaxy S10 Plus, and 3D Face Recognition among many AI features.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 line-up of three models is most likely to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2019, which will be held in Barcelona starting February 25. For the media, the phone could be introduced on February 24, a day ahead of the grand public show.

The speculated price for the US market is $ 725, which works out to about Rs 52,000, but we expect a starting price upwards of Rs 64,000 for the Indian market. Also, if the 5G model is launched for the global markets, it will certainly cost more than the Galaxy S10 Plus 4G variant.
