However, as recent rumors suggested the company is gearing up to introduce cheaper variants of its new Pixel 3 phones. Courtesy of 91Mobiles, today we have the first renders which reveal a lot of familiarities and a couple of significant differences.
To begin with, there are two size options — non-XL and XL as opposed to earlier leaks which indicated only one. Both the forthcoming phones will reportedly have the same dual-tone design found on their more expensive siblings. The difference here is that it’s a polycarbonate exterior, not glass. We expect them to have a similar matte finish present on yesteryear’s Pixel 2.
There’s also no notch but both the models do have noticeable bezels on the top and bottom. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean they have a secondary selfie camera and stereo speakers like in the case of the Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL have only a single speaker setup as well as only one front-facing camera. The design also sheds light on a few more details which were previously unknown including the fact that both the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL (Google needs to rethink these names, yes) will surprisingly have standard headphone jacks.
As for the specifications, the report says the Pixel 3 Lite will have a 5.5-inch screen, while the XL variant sports a 6.0-inch one. Both have a resolution of 1080p and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. While it doesn’t confirm the rest of the specifications, previous leaks have reported that the Pixel 3 Lite will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset, 4GB of RAM, a 12-megapixel rear camera, 2,915mAh battery, and an 8-megapixel sensor for selfies. It’s highly likely that both the models will have the same set of hardware, except for the battery — similar to the Pixel 3 arrangement.
Send this to a friend

The most critical victim of Google’s shift towards the premium, homegrown Pixel lineup was buyers who had grew accustomed to the Nexus series‘ relatively The most critical victim of Google’s shift towards the premium, homegrown Pixel lineup was buyers who had grew accustomed to the Nexus series’ relatively affordable prices.
