\nTiger Woods\u2019 life will soon be getting \u201cThe Last Dance\u201d treatment.
\u201cTIGER,\u201d a two-part documentary detailing the \u201crise, fall, and epic comeback of global Tiger Woods,\u201d will premiere in December on HBO, the network announced Thursday. The series will feature \u201cnever-before-seen footage and revealing interviews\u201d from members of Woods\u2019 inner-circle, in addition to Rachel Uchitel, his alleged former mistress.
\u201cSince his introduction to the world at the age of two, Tiger Woods has inhabited our collective consciousness as a prodigy, a pioneer, a champion, a global icon, and then a tabloid headline,\u201d directors Matthew Heineman and Matthew Hamachek said in a statement. \u201cOur goal was to dive deeper and create an unflinching and intimate portrait of a man, who like all of us, is imperfect and inherently human.\u201d
Woods infamously fell from grace in late 2009 when his extramarital transgressions with Uchitel, a nightclub manager, were exposed and his marriage to Elin Nordegren crumbled. In December of that year, Woods addressed his infidelity and announced he\u2019d be stepping away from golf indefinitely.
Following his 2010 divorce from Nordegren, with whom he shares daughter Sam, 13, and son Charlie, 11, his redemption arc continued with a flurry of ups and downs.
In May 2017, the golfer was busted in Jupiter, Fla., after being found by cops passed out behind the wheel. Woods blamed an \u201cunexpected reaction\u201d to prescription medication for the incident. A month later, Woods said he was seeking professional assistance to help manage his medications.
Woods\u2019 comeback tour reached new heights in 2019 with a Masters win, his first since 2005. He celebrated with family and girlfriend Erica Herman.
