The wreck occurred Thursday night on Michigan Avenue in southwest Detroit.<\/b>
\nDetroit police are investigating a traffic crash on New Year’s Eve that left three people dead. The wreck occurred at 10:40 p.m. Thursday on Michigan Avenue at 16th Street in Corktown, near the old Michigan Central Train Depot. Police said an 87-year-old man was driving a Cadillac west on Michigan Avenue when his vehicle collided with a Mercury Sable also traveling west. The driver of the Cadillac was transported to a local hospital, where he died. The Detroit Police Fatal Squad is trying to determine what led to the crash.
