At around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, a West Chester police officer spotted smoke coming from the Princeton Crossing mobile home park near the corner of Ohio 747 and Port Union Road, Fire Chief Rick Prinz said. Firefighters pulled the three victims from the fire and performed CPR before transporting them to the hospital. Carole Kozee was taken to Mercy Fairfield Hospital while the other two victims were taken to UC Health West Chester Hospital, according to the release from the coroner’s office. One firefighter who was on the scene was hospitalized Tuesday morning for heat-related injuries. Prinz told the Enquirer on Tuesday that the firefighter was expected to be treated and released.
