\nThe body of Miya Marcano, a Florida college student who disappeared late last month, was discovered Saturday. Orange County Sheriff John Mina said that the 19-year-old\u2019s remains were discovered near an apartment building, The Associated Press reports. Marcano was reported missing after she didn\u2019t board a Sept.24 flight to her home in South Florida. The remains of 27-year-old Armando Caballero \u2014 a maintenance worker at the Arden Villa apartment complex where Marcano lived and worked \u2014 who apparently killed himself, were found in a garage three days after Marcano was last seen. Authorities had spoken to him prior to his death and eventually obtained a warrant for his arrest. Mina had already identified Caballero as the \u201cprime suspect\u201d before the Valencia College student\u2019s body was found. Caballero \u2014 whose romantic advances police say Marcano repeatedly \u201crebuffed\u201d \u2014 had improperly used a master key to get into the young woman\u2019s apartment the day she went missing. The worker was, according to his cellphone records, at the apartment for roughly 20 minutes the night Marcano disappeared. \u201cAt this time we cannot identify a cause of death, so I don\u2019t want to speculate on that,\u201d Mina said at a news conference Saturday of Marcano\u2019s death. Caballero in 2013 was arrested in Polk County on charges of using a destructive device resulting in property damage and discharging a weapon on school property, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, with an arrest report saying he admitted to using an improvised explosive \u2014 a toilet-bowl cleaner mixture inside a plastic drink bottle \u2014 as a \u201cprank\u201d in his dorm building at Warner University. No one was injured in the incident. \u201cAll potential employees are vetted through a national background check services provider,\u201d which did not show records of burglary nor sexual assault involving Caballero, according to a statement released by Arden Villa.
