Soaring to your screen, the sci-fi epic has returned after just a few months of hiatus leading into Season 4. Along with the big plot twists within the show, Discovery is facing a major turn of events when it comes to where it’s currently streaming. If you’re hunting for Season 4 (and, for that matter, every other season) of the series, we can help guide you in the right direction. After a bit of a delay due to the pandemic, Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery debuted its final episodes on Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access) earlier this year, with a 13-episode season full of new surprises. As we head into the fourth installation in the saga, we’ll get a glimpse at life after the fall of the Emerald Chain, and the reformation of the Federation. According to the new episode’s title — “Kobayashi Maru” — we’ll probably see a familiar training exercise performed in the new episode, too. Wondering if you’ll find Star Trek: Discovery on Netflix? Here’s where Star Trek: Discovery is streaming globally. Nope. You’ll find Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, but Discovery is nowhere in sight. That’s not just for U.S. users, either — Star Trek: Discovery has been removed internationally from the streamer, too, despite being the exclusive home for Star Trek: Discovery since the show premiered. Read on for the reasons why. Star Trek: Discovery is now on Paramount+ in the United States, and the first episode of Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 will stream tomorrow (Nov.18) on the ViacomCBS streamer — but only in the U.S. You can subscribe for Paramount+ over at their website — an ad-supported plan will run you $4.99, whereas premium plan will cost you $9.99/month. Paramount+ currently has the first three seasons of Star Trek: Discovery. New episodes of Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 will stream every Thursday on Paramount+ at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET. This is a tricky one to answer, because most of the rest of the world doesn’t have Paramount+. The UK, Germany, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland are expected to be the first (technically second) out of the gate for the service, though no specific launch dates have been announced. After that, the service plans to expand to 45 different countries by the end of 2022. That all said, if you live outside the United States, the answer to when Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 will premiere is “probably whenever Paramount+ launches,” and unfortunately the answer to when that is, “we don’t know.” Sorry. ViacomCBS and Netflix recently closed a deal ending the financial arrangement that led to Discovery ‘s joint-launch back in 2017. Netflix had been paying for the majority of the show’s budget in order to get overseas rights. As a result, unfortunately, if you live internationally you’re going to have to wait a while to see what happens with the crew.
