News, Reviews & Betas which includes large community peer support Amazon has rolled out a fix to its Appstore on Android 12. For the past two months, customers have been reporting issues related to launching existing apps or installing new ones from the Appstore.<\/b>
\nAmazon’s Appstore is a decent alternative to the Google Play Store, even though its library is considerably smaller. The storefront is also available via Insider Preview builds of Windows 11 thanks to a partnership with Microsoft that enables the OS‘ users to run Android apps using the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). Android 12 started rolling out in October, and users of the OS have been reporting issues with the Amazon Appstore since then. Complaints highlight the inability to install a new app from the storefront or even open apps that were previously installed. At that time, it was speculated that the issue was caused by lack of compatibility between Amazon\u2019s built-in DRM and Android 12. An Amazon support representative had also stated that the company was working on a solution without going into too many details. Fast-forward two months, and Amazon has finally rolled out an update that is supposed to fix the issues that people were having with the AppStore. In a statement to Engadget (via Android Police), an Amazon spokesperson stated that: It’s still unclear what caused the issue but users of the storefront will be pleased to know that the problem has at least been resolved.<\/p>\n
