\nVideo footage of Jason Kelce’s reaction to Taylor Swift being called his „future sister-in-law“ has gone viral on social media.
Pop star Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce became one of the hottest celebrity couples after going public with their romance in September 2023.
The high-profile relationship has seen Swift support her partner at his NFL games\u2014including his Super Bowl win earlier this year\u2014and Travis Kelce return the favor at a number of her concert dates across the globe.
With the couple’s every move continuing to be a social-media talking point, Jason Kelce faced a comment about his brother’s romance with Swift when he made a guest appearance on ESPN’s College Game Day on Saturday.
The former Philadelphia Eagles center was challenged to kick a field goal in the name of charity, to help raise funds for hurricane relief.
Ahead of the NFL star attempting what would be the first of two kicks, co-host Pat McAfee announced: „Jason Kelce, I’ll be going to your future sister-in-law’s concert tomorrow night in Indianapolis.“
„You’re going?“ Jason Kelce responded as he prepared for the kick. „Get ready, brother!“
„I’m feeling 22, brother“, McAfee responded, referring to Swift’s track of the same name.
Footage of the exchange was shared on X, formerly Twitter, where it has garnered more than 3.7 million views.
During his College Game Day appearance, Jason Kelce flubbed his kick, prompting McAfee tell him: „Remember what you say about kickers?“ On his New Heights podcast last month, Jason Kelce branded the football position unimportant.
Upping the ante, McAfee announced that Jason Kelce was getting a second shot, adding that $200,000 would be donated to relief funds if his attempt was successful.
However, Jason Kelce missed the goal again, to which McAfee jokingly quipped: „This guy sucks.“
„I’ve got a whole new respect“, Jason Kelce said. „I suck at kicking, OK!“
His brother, Travis Kelce, has continued to support his partner at shows on her record-breaking Eras Tour whenever his schedule allows\u2014as Swift has also done for him.
Swift’s support of Kelce last season brought a flood of media attention\u2014much to the exasperation of some football fans.
„I’m just there to support Travis“, Swift told Time in an interview in late 2023. „I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p****** off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.“
Addressing the cameras often panning her way, Swift said: „I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when [the] camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.“
