The Powerball jackpot climbed to a new high of an estimated $1.3 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing, after no winner came forward on Labor Day.<\/b>
\nSept. 2 The Powerball jackpot climbed to a new high of an estimated $1.3 billion for Wednesday night’s drawing, after no winner came forward on Labor Day.
If a player wins the upcoming jackpot, they will be able to choose either an annualized prize estimate of $1.3 billion or a lump sum payment of $589 million. If the annuity option is chosen, the winner will receive one immediate payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
Ten tickets matched Monday night’s all five white balls to win $1 million prizes. The tickets were sold in the states of California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Two tickets in Montana and North Carolina won $2 million by utilizing Power Play. Also, 124 tickets won the $50,000 prize and 25 won the $150,000 prize.
Wednesday’s drawing will be the 41st drawing since the last winning Jackpot on May 31, 2024, in California.
On Sep. 3, if the jackpot is won, it will be ranked as the fifth-highest jackpot.<\/p>\n
