The podcaster prodded the president, who previously called the Epstein files scandal „a hoax.“<\/b>
\n\u201cI heard there are no files,\u201d Rogan said. \u201cI heard it\u2019s a hoax. And then all of a sudden, he\u2019s going to release the files. I thought there were no files. He wants an investigation now. Like, what is going on?\u201d
Rogan, who supported Trump in the last presidential election, did offer a bit of cover for the president. He said that Epstein\u2019s trafficking racket was a means of blackmailing \u201chigh-profile, extremely wealthy\u201d people.
\u201cI think this is a pattern that has existed forever in politics,\u201d Rogan claimed. \u201cThey want you to be compromised when you get into any sort of a position, so they can control you. And I think these things like Epstein, and there\u2019s probably a bunch of other similar operations that are being run.\u201d
Elsewhere in the episode, Rogan claimed he considered buying Epstein\u2019s infamous private island at a bargain rate.
