Although Grande previously pulled double duty as host and guest in 2016, tonight the \u201cThank U, Next\u201d singer chose to share the spotlight with musical guest Cher, whose last appearance on the show \u2014 aside from a brief cameo on \u201cWeekend Update\u201d in 1992 and at the special 50th anniversary concert last year \u2014 was in November 1987.
