If you can’t wait, however, a new accessory lets you add touch support to your existing laptop.<br \/>As reported by Apple Insider, Intricuit introduced its Magic Screen at CES 2026. The accessory snaps onto your MacBook display and connects via a USB-C cable. Once set up, you can tap, swipe, zoom, scroll, or even use a stylus on the added display. The final experience closely resembles using an iPad with a Magic Keyboard. The stylus, a USB-C cable, a folio case, and a polishing cloth are all bundled with the Magic Screen.<br \/>Intricuit calls the accessory a „snap-on digitizer“, but doesn’t say much about the tech behind it. The accessory is compatible with all M-series MacBooks, except the M1 MacBook Air. The company claims the product doesn’t reduce the screen’s clarity. To avoid damage, however, you’ll have to detach the accessory before closing the lid.<br \/>Most use cases suggested by Intricuit focus on how to use the stylus for creative tasks, such as doodling, sketching, note-taking, or even photo editing. The stylus can last for 100 hours on a single charge, the company claims.<br \/>Additionally, with the iPhone Mirroring app already available on macOS 15 or later, the Magic Screen also lets you swipe through your iPhone directly from your Mac.<br \/>The Magic Screen costs $139. Early access to the product will open up on Kickstarter soon.
