Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser spoofed Nicole Kidman’s AMC Theatres ad.<\/b>
\nNikki Glaser channeled her inner Nicole Kidman for an uncanny take on her iconic AMC Theatres ad.
The spoof aired during the 83rd Annual Golden Globes on Sunday night, ahead of the awards show\u2019s inaugural Best Podcast category.
In the pre-recorded bit, Glaser is dressed in Kidman\u2019s signature sparkly suit from the ad for the movie theater chain. Though like Kidman, Glaser says movie theater goers head to AMC \u201cfor magic,\u201d \u201cfor love,\u201d and \u201cto cry,\u201d her sentimental spiel is brought to a halt when she sees a notice that reads that the theater is \u201cclosed for renovations.\u201d So, Glaser takes a detour\u2014to her car.
\u201cWe come to our cars for podcasts,\u201d she says in the same dreamy tone, \u201cbecause we need that. All of us. That indescribable feeling when the episode stars to play\u2026\u201d
Glaser\u2019s blissful podcast-listening experience is interrupted by an ad for Bombas, which she quickly clicks to skip.
\u201cThen we go some place we\u2019ve never been before,\u201d she continues, as she listens to a snippet of Sean Hayes, Jason Bateman, and Will Arnett discussing their favorite cookie on their Golden Globe-nominated SmartLess podcast.

Glaser hits all the right notes, teasing being \u201creborn together\u201d ahead of a clip of Gwyneth Paltrow and Amy Poehler discussing their ideal dinner times on the latter\u2019s Good Hang podcast, while also featuring \u201cvulnerable moments hijacked by inappropriate ad copy,\u201d with a segment from Alex Cooper\u2019s conversation with the late Jane Goodall on Call Her Daddy being interrupted by an ad for Tinder.
\u201cSomehow discourse feels good in a place like this,\u201d Glaser says, as Marc Maron surprises her with a knock on her window.
\u201cHey, do you know about SquareSpace?\u201d he asks.
As Glaser abruptly drives off, Maron exclaims, \u201cHey, lock the gates!\u201d
The ad wraps with Glaser saying, \u201cPodcasts: They\u2019re\u2026 just what we have now.\u201d
The Golden Globe for Best Podcast, presented by Snoop Dogg, ultimately went to Good Hang with Amy Poehler, which bested Call Her Daddy, SmartLess, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, The Mel Robbins Podcast, and NPR\u2019s Up First .
