Host Nikki Glaser wore a \u201cSpinal Tap\u201d baseball cap as she closed out the awards show, referencing two lines from the Reiner-directed film in her closing statements.
\u201cThat\u2019s our show. This one went to 11,\u201d the comedian, 41, said. \u201cThank you guys for an amazing night, and I hope we found the line between clever and stupid.\u201d
Glaser, notably, told USA Today on Thursday that she would honor the late director \u201cin [her] own way\u201d since the show does not include an in memoriam segment.
\u201cI have something planned,\u201d she teased, calling her tribute a \u201cdelicate\u201d one.
Reiner, who was nominated for nine Golden Globes during his career, died on Dec. 14, 2025, alongside his partner in their Brentwood, Calif., home.
The couple\u2019s youngest son, Nick Reiner, was subsequently charged with their murders.
Their other surviving children \u2014 son Jake, 34, and daughter Romy, 28 \u2014 released a heartbreaking statement last month about their \u201chorrific and devastating\u201d loss.
\u201cWords cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day,\u201d the siblings wrote. \u201cThey weren\u2019t just our parents; they were our best friends.\u201d
They continued, \u201cWe are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received. \u2026 We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.\u201d
The duo have put on a united front, hunkering down together in their family\u2019s California beach home in photos obtained by Page Six.
Nick, meanwhile, has made two court appearances, most recently on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old has yet to enter a plea, and his initial lawyer, Alan Jackson, quit representing Nick in an eleventh-hour twist.
Nick, notably, attended Conan O\u2019Brien\u2019s Christmas party with his parents the evening before their bodies were discovered \u2014 and reportedly drew attention for arguing with his family members.
At the festive bash, Rob reportedly told a fellow guest, \u201cI\u2019m petrified of [Nick]. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m going to say this, but I\u2019m afraid of my son. I think my own son can hurt me.\u201d
A-listers\u2019 tributes for Rob and Michele have been pouring in since their passing, and many of the stars the Emmy winner worked with got emotional in CBS\u2019 \u201cRob Reiner: Scenes From a Life\u201d special.
Jerry O\u2019Connell broke down discussing how kind Rob was to him filming \u201cStand By Me\u201d in 1986.
\u201cHe took me out to lunch, man \u2026 months after the movie came out,\u201d the actor recalled. \u201cHe didn\u2019t have to do that, you know what I\u2019m saying? \u2026 He was a busy man. And he took a 12-year-old me out to lunch just to be like, \u2018Thanks so much, what a great movie.\u2019\u201d
Rob earned one of his four Golden Globe nominations in the Best Director category for his work on the film, with his other nominations including \u201cWhen Harry Met Sally,\u201d \u201cA Few Good Men\u201d and \u201cThe American President.\u201d
His remaining five nominations were for playing Michael Stivic in \u201cAll in the Family.\u201d<\/p>\n
