Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey appeared to confirm their upcoming musical reunion in a joint Instagram post from the Art Institute of Chicago on Wednesday.<\/b>

Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey are set to appear in a revival of \u201cSunday in the Park with George.\u201d
The pair, who most recently starred together as Glinda and Prince Fiyero in \u201cWicked: For Good,\u201d appeared to confirm their upcoming project in a joint Instagram post from the Art Institute of Chicago on Wednesday.
\u201cAll it has to be is good,\u201d Grande, 32, and Bailey, 37, wrote in the caption of their post, which is a line from the musical\u2019s signature song \u201cFinishing the Hat.\u201d
The \u201cWicked\u201d pair also included a picture sitting in front of Georges Seurat\u2019s famous painting \u201cA Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,\u201d which reportedly inspired Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine\u2019s original 1984 show.
\u201cWhat a beautiful way to announce it,\u201d one person wrote in the comments section.

\u201cI\u2019m going to have a heart attack,\u201d commented a third thrilled fan, while a fourth shared, \u201cAriana and Jonathan in \u2018Sunday in the Park with George\u2019 confirmed! I\u2019m shaking!\u201d
The \u201c7 Rings\u201d pop star and \u201cBridgerton\u201d actor\u2019s performances will kick off at the Barbican Centre in London in summer 2027, according to the venue\u2019s website.
Directed by Marianne Elliot with design by Tom Scutt, the production will mark the latest adaptation of Sondheim and Lapine\u2019s beloved musical since it originally premiered on Broadway nearly 42 years ago.
Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters starred in the original Pulitzer Prize-winning production as Georges Seurat and his mistress, Dot, during Act 1, followed by the couple\u2019s descendants, George and Marie, during Act 2.
The musical was previously revived on Broadway in 2017 with Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford in the lead roles.
However, Grande and Bailey won\u2019t be the only two sharing a reunion when the play arrives at the Barbican Centre next summer.
Bailey and Elliott previously worked together for a London revival of Sondheim\u2019s \u201cCompany\u201d in 2018 and a West End revival of Mike Bartlett\u2019s \u201cCock\u201d in 2022.
The news comes just weeks after the former Nickelodeon star revealed that she was taking a break from her music career after her 41-date Eternal Sunshine tour later this year.
\u201cThe last 10 or 15 years will look very different from the ones that are coming up,\u201d she shared during Amy Poehler\u2019s \u201cGood Hang\u201d podcast in November. \u201cI don\u2019t want to say anything definitive.\u201d
