\nBlake Lively and Taylor Swift\u2019s texts blasting Justin Baldoni as a \u201cclown\u201d and \u201ca bitch\u201d have been revealed in new court docs.
Lively called Baldoni \u2014 her director and co-star in \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d \u2014 the \u201cdoofus director of my movie\u201d in text messages to Swift according to court docs obtained by Page Six.
The actress allegedly asked the pop star to endorse her revision of the \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d script without even reading it back in April 2023 and Swift was supportive, Baldoni\u2019s lawyers claim in the docs.
\u201cSwift agreed to do Lively\u2019s bidding, texting Lively, \u2018I\u2019ll do anything for you!!,\u201d per the court docs.
The docs note that after Swift endorsed Lively\u2019s revised script in a meeting with Baldoni at Lively\u2019s apartment, Lively texted Swift, \u201cYou were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan [Reynolds]. I kept remembering stuff. You making s\u2013t up about me and lenses. And referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falling for all of it. But also resisting it. You are the worlds absolute greatest friend ever.\u201d
More correspondence with Swift include the singer suggesting Baldoni was not \u201cstrategic\u201d in using her song \u201cMy Tears Ricochet With Us\u201d in \u201cIt Ends With Us.\u201d
\u201cIn April 26, 2024 messages, Lively and Swift discussed a plan to use Swift\u2019s song in the film\u2019s trailer,\u201d the court docs state. \u201cSwift wrote: \u2018If Justin was strategic he would be like no Taylor swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film, that\u2019s your ally not his.’\u201d
\u201cLively responded: \u201cYou are so right\u2026He should\u2019ve run from your music\u2026How stupid. This was his only shot at having the appearance of an upper hand‘,\u201d the docs continue.
In December 2024, Swift texted Lively ahead of the bombshell New York Times article that claimed Baldoni waged a smear campaign against the \u201cGossip Girl\u201d alum.
\u201cI think this bitch knows something is coming because he\u2019s gotten out his tiny violin,\u201d Swift texted Lively, according to the docs.
In Lively\u2019s response, which is included in the court docs, she denies she and Swift discussed the New York Times article beforehand, and also denies she asked Swift to endorse her script revisions without reading it.
\u201cAnd I sent Taylor the script on her way to my apartment because Justin was still there, and I asked her to read them,\u201d Lively states. \u201cI told her she didn\u2019t have to, I didn\u2019t want her to feel pressured to do that, but I hoped that she would.\u201d
Later in the lengthy docs, Baldoni\u2019s lawyers also allege Lively insulted Baldoni to her other famous friends, including Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Lively allegedly told them she \u201crewrote the script\u201d and \u201cdirected every actor.\u201d
\u201cShe also did not hesitate to disparage Baldoni among her Hollywood crowd, describing him to Ben Affleck, for example, as a \u2018chaotic clown‘,\u201d per the docs.
Reps for Lively, Swift and Baldoni didn\u2019t immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment.
Swift was first dragged into Lively and Baldoni\u2019s feud in January 2025 when the former \u201cMan Enough\u201d podcast host filed his countersuit against Lively.
Baldoni\u2019s filing included text messages referencing a moment when he allegedly felt \u201cpressured\u201d by Reynolds and Swift, whom the actress called her protective \u201cdragons,\u201d to respond positively to a scene Lively rewrote.
\u201cThe message could not have been clearer,\u201d Baldoni\u2019s lawyer wrote. \u201cBaldoni was not just dealing with Lively. He was also facing Lively\u2019s \u2018dragons,\u2019 two of the most influential and wealthy celebrities in the world, who were not afraid to make things very difficult for him.\u201d
Back in June 2025, rep for Swift distanced the pop star from \u201cIt Ends With Us\u201d and the surrounding legal drama.
\u201cTaylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see \u2018It Ends With Us\u2019 until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,\u201d her rep told Page Six.<\/p>\n
