Pedestrian struck in crash on Goldenrod Road

A pedestrian was struck in a crash on Goldenrod Road Friday, according to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department.
A pedestrian was struck in a crash on South Goldenrod Road Friday, according to the Orange County Fire Rescue Department.
Just after 10 a.m., first responders were called to the scene of a vehicle crash at South Goldenrod Road and Mai Tai Drive near Three Points Elementary school, according to online Fire Rescue dispatch logs.
At least one man was injured in the crash. The man was a pedestrian walking in the area when he was struck by a vehicle, according to Fire Rescue spokeswoman Kat Kennedy.
Orange County medics took the injured man to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment, Kennedy said. He was taken as a “trauma alert” patient, which typically indicates critical injuries.
No further information about the collision was immediately available. The driver and victim were not identified.
Orange County legal groups are elevating women to leadership roles. Four groups from the Orange County Bar Association are lead by women now, probably for the first time.
