Some reports claim that alongside the Mi Max 3, Xiaomi is also expected to launch Mi Max 3 Pro at the same event.
After months of anticipations, Xiaomi has finally announced that the company will be launching the Mi Max 3 on July 19 in China. The information comes from Xiaomi Global spokesperson Donovan Sung. He took to Twitter to announce the launch date of the Mi Max 3. Earlier this month, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jung had said that Mi Max 3 will be coming will be coming later this month. That’s what is happening.
“Mi Fans, something BIG is coming! Big screen, bigger battery,” writes Donovan on Twitter. He went on to write, “Mi Max 3 is launching next Thursday on July 19. Help us spread the good news!” Not much is known about the hardware specs and features about the Mi Max 3 yet. But, going by Donovan’s tweet, it is confirmed that the Mi Max 3 will sport a massive display, much bigger than even the Mi Max 2.
The Twitter post, apart from hinting at the display also reveals that the Mi Max 3 will come with a big battery too. The same details have been revealed by the renders and rumours. The Mi Max 3 has been subjected to several leaks and rumours in the past couple of months.

As far as the specs of the handset are concerned, the Mi Max 3 is expected to sport a massive 6.99-inch display, which definitely is much bigger than the Mi Max 2 which comes with a 6.4-inch display. About the battery, rumours suggest that the Mi Max 3 will be backed by a huge 5000mAh battery. But then, that being the case, if Mi Max 3 comes with a 5000mAh battery, it means that the device will have a smaller battery than the Mi Max 2 which sports a 5300 mAh battery setup.
Other rumours reveal that the Mi Max 3 will come with a dual camera setup on the rear panel and single sensor of the front. The handset may sport a camera combination of 12MP+5MP on the rear panel. The front camera details of the Mi Max 3 is yet to be revealed. All we know so far is that the Mi Max 3 will come with a better cameras specs than the Mi Max 2.
On the hardware front, the Mi Max 3 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. The handset is expected to come in three RAM models — 3GB/4GB/6GB and three storage variants — 32GB/64GB/128GB. The phone will definitely run on the latest Android Oreo software on top of MIUI 10 like most new Xiaomi phones.
As for the pricing, rumours say that the Mi Max 3 will fall under the mid-range segment. The handset is expected to cost somewhat around Rs 20,000. As of now, there are no words on when Xiaomi will bring the Mi Max 3 in India.
Some reports claim that alongside the Mi Max 3, Xiaomi is also expected to launch Mi Max 3 Pro at the same event. The Mi Max 3 Pro is said to be a toned down version of the Mi Max 3 and come with Snapdragon 710 processor, a 5500mAh battery, 20MP+8MP dual-rear cameras, and a 16MP selfie sensor.
