Arthur's outer rain bands creep towards NC coast

The National Hurricane Center has upgraded the storm system currently in the Atlantic Ocean into the first tropical storm of the season.
N. C. — Tropical Storm Arthur is moving toward the North Carolina coast at 9 miles per hour with maximum sustained winds at 45 mph and gusts of 60 mph. An updated trajectory shows the storm is 225 miles from Morehead City.
A tropical storm warning has been issued for the North Carolina coast from Surf City to Duck, NC, Pamlico and Albemarle Sounds.
As of right now, the storm is expected to brush the Outer Banks on Monday morning and continue to hug the coast through the afternoon.
